Why Saudi enterprises invest in proper network design

Three patterns drive most of our networking engagements in the Kingdom. First, organic growth: a network that worked for one office now spans three cities, plus remote sites at the giga-projects, plus a hybrid workforce — and the original design wasn’t meant to stretch this far. Network design and architecture

Switching and routing

Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Aruba, and Mikrotik deployments for campus and branch. We handle layer-2/3 design, VLAN segmentation, dynamic routing protocols, redundancy (HSRP/VRRP), and the migration plan that gets you from old to new without taking the business offline.

Wi-Fi solutions

High-density wireless for offices, hotels, hospitals, schools, and warehouses. Predictive site surveys, post-installation validation surveys, AP placement optimised for actual coverage rather than ceiling-tile aesthetics. We deploy Cisco Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, and Cambium based on the use case.

SD-WAN and WAN optimisation

For multi-site organisations, SD-WAN replaces traditional MPLS-only WAN with a more flexible, cheaper, and more resilient setup. We work with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, Cisco Meraki SD-WAN, and Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN (formerly Viptela). Includes carrier negotiation and cutover planning.

Network security

Network monitoring and management

Solarwinds, PRTG, ManageEngine, Cisco DNA Center, or vendor-neutral platforms — chosen to fit your environment. We deploy, tune the alerting (so you get woken up only when it actually matters), and integrate with your service desk.

Carrier and ISP procurement

We negotiate contracts with STC, Mobily, Zain, GO Telecom, and alternative providers — primary internet, backup internet, MPLS, point-to-point links, and dark fibre where appropriate. We have done enough of these to know where the actual flexibility lives in vendor pricing.

How we deliver

1. Discovery — current-state assessment of your network, traffic patterns, business growth plans, and pain points.
2. Design — high-level design (HLD) and low-level design (LLD) documents your auditors and team can review.
3. Procurement — equipment ordering, including the local-stock items where lead time matters and the longer-lead items where it doesn’t.
4. Staging — equipment pre-configured in our facility before site delivery so onsite work is rack-and-cable, not figure-it-out.
5. Cutover — coordinated with your business calendar; major cutovers happen in low-impact windows with rollback plans tested in advance.
6. Handover and documentation — running config, network diagrams, IP plan, change log, and operational runbooks delivered before sign-off.
7. Optional managed service — ongoing operations if you don’t have the in-house capacity.

Frequently asked questions

Should we use Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, or Meraki?

It depends on what you’re optimising for. Meraki for organisations that want cloud-managed simplicity. Catalyst/Cisco IOS for organisations with deeper network teams and complex requirements. Fortinet for security-led environments. Aruba for high-density Wi-Fi. We are vendor-certified across all of these and will recommend based on your environment, not our margin.

Do we need SD-WAN?

If you have three or more sites and run video, voice, or business-critical SaaS over WAN — probably yes. SD-WAN gives you redundancy, application-aware routing, and the ability to use cheaper internet circuits as primary or backup. We can model the TCO before you commit.

How long does a network refresh take?

Single office switch refresh: 2–4 weeks. Multi-site WAN/SD-WAN refresh: 3–6 months depending on site count. Full enterprise redesign: 6–12 months.

Will the refresh disrupt our business?

Cutover work is scheduled for low-impact windows (overnight, weekends, scheduled maintenance windows). Rollback plans are mandatory before any change. Most clients see no business-hours impact during a well-planned refresh.

Do you handle the carrier negotiation, or just the equipment?

We handle both. Carrier work is usually where projects slip — we drive it.

Can you operate the network for us after deployment?

Yes. Managed network services available as a separate engagement or bundled with the deployment.
