Microsoft Team Integration

Unifiedway lets you connect Microsoft Teams with thousands of the most popular apps, so you can automate your work and have more time for what matters most—no code required

What does Microsoft Teams integrate with?

Microsoft Teams integrates with a whole host of productivity, communication, project management, HR, finance, and many other types of apps and software

Since Teams’ daily user count has passed 145 million users, it seems like every app is prioritizing integration with Teams.

Unlike the pattern of apps creating a “for Business” version a few years back (think Skype for Business or Viber for Business), it seems like the new trend is to create a “for Teams” version of your app.

PARTNER

Microsoft Teams done properly — for Saudi businesses

Microsoft Teams is on every Saudi knowledge worker’s desktop. What’s not always there is a Teams deployment that actually works the way the business needs: video meetings that don’t drop on the office Wi-Fi, calling that replaces the legacy PBX without breaking the contact centre, governance that satisfies the security team, and meeting rooms that someone can actually walk into and use.

Unifiedway is a Microsoft partner specialising in end-to-end Teams deployments across the Kingdom. We design, deliver, and support Teams environments for organisations replacing legacy phone systems with Teams Phone, standing up Teams Rooms in their offices, or untangling a Teams sprawl that grew organically since 2020 and now needs governance.

Why Teams is the platform Saudi enterprises consolidate on

Three forces are pushing Saudi organisations to make Teams the centre of their collaboration stack. First, Microsoft 365 licensing already includes Teams for most enterprise SKUs — keeping a separate UC platform alongside is paying twice. Second, hybrid work is now the default in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the giga-projects: people need to join meetings from sites, vehicles, hotels, and home offices without changing tools. Third, the regulatory environment increasingly favours platforms with mature compliance, eDiscovery, and data-residency controls — Teams meets those requirements when configured correctly.

The piece most organisations get wrong is treating Teams as a desktop app rollout instead of a unified communications platform. Done that way, you end up with calling that doesn’t work outside the office, meeting rooms with mismatched hardware, and a governance model that lets every employee create a private Team that nobody can find six months later.

What’s included in our Microsoft Teams services

Teams Phone (calling) deployment

We replace your legacy PBX or extend it into Teams using Direct Routing, Operator Connect, or Calling Plans depending on what fits your environment and Saudi telecom commercial reality. Includes number porting, dial plan design, voicemail and auto-attendant configuration, and integration with your existing phone numbers.

Teams Rooms design and installation

Standardised meeting room hardware kits — Logitech, Yealink, Poly, and Microsoft-certified bundles — sized for huddle rooms, mid-size meeting rooms, and large boardrooms. We handle procurement, installation, AV cabling, network configuration, and the touch-panel provisioning that turns a TV and a camera into a one-touch-join Teams Room.

Teams Phone Direct Routing with SBC

For organisations with existing telecom contracts or specific call routing requirements, we deploy session border controllers (AudioCodes, Ribbon, or Cisco), configure SIP trunks to local KSA carriers, and integrate with Teams. Includes survivability for branch offices and emergency calling configuration.

Teams governance and lifecycle management

Naming policies, expiration policies, sensitivity labels, guest access rules, app permission policies, and a Team-creation approval workflow if your security policy requires one. The goal: a Teams environment your CISO is comfortable with two years from now.

Migration from Skype for Business or third-party UC

For organisations still on Skype for Business Server, Cisco Webex, Avaya, or Mitel UC, we plan and execute the migration to Teams — coexistence mode, user pilot waves, number migration, and decommissioning the legacy platform.

Adoption and training

Floorwalker support during go-live, role-based training sessions in Arabic and English, quick-reference guides, and a 30/60/90-day adoption review with usage metrics. Most Teams deployments fail at adoption, not technology.

Power Platform integration

For clients ready to extend Teams into a workflow platform, we build approval flows in Power Automate, custom Teams apps in Power Apps, and Viva integrations for HR and learning.

How we deliver

  1. Discovery and design — current-state assessment of your phone system, meeting infrastructure, and M365 tenant. Output: a Teams deployment design document.
  2. Pilot deployment — typically 20–50 users including IT, executive support, and one business unit. 4–6 weeks of real-world testing.
  3. Hardware procurement — phones, headsets, room systems, and SBCs ordered and pre-configured.
  4. Phased rollout — wave-by-wave migration to Teams Phone, with old PBX kept available as fallback for the first 30 days.
  5. Cutover and decommission — number porting completed, legacy systems retired, contracts cancelled.
  6. Hypercare and managed support — 30 days of intensive post-go-live support, then transition to ongoing managed service if you want it.

  • Professional services — Teams Phone replacing legacy PBX for distributed law, audit, and consulting firms.
  • Education — Teams for Education with assignments, class teams, and exam invigilation.

Why Unifiedway for Microsoft Teams

We deliver Teams as a unified communications platform, not a software install. Our team includes Microsoft-certified consultants for Teams, Teams Phone, and Microsoft 365, complemented by AudioCodes and Ribbon SBC engineers for Direct Routing. We carry stock of Teams-certified phones (Yealink, Poly, Jabra) and Teams Rooms hardware in our Kingdom warehouses, so deployment timelines aren’t held up by import logistics. Support is delivered in Arabic and English, on Saudi business hours, and our PMP-certified project managers run deployments to fixed timelines.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to be on Microsoft 365 to use Teams Phone?

Yes — Teams Phone requires a Microsoft 365 or Office 365 subscription with a qualifying license (E5 includes it; E3 needs a Teams Phone Standard add-on). We help you right-size licensing during the design phase.

Can we keep our existing phone numbers?

Yes. Number porting from local KSA carriers takes 2–6 weeks depending on the carrier and the number block. We manage the porting paperwork end-to-end.

Will Teams calling work on poor internet?

Teams Phone and meeting quality depend on bandwidth and jitter. Part of our discovery is a network readiness assessment — we test against Microsoft’s recommended thresholds and identify what to fix before go-live. For sites with constrained connectivity we use survivability features so local calling still works during outages.

How does Teams handle Arabic-language meetings?

Teams provides full RTL support, Arabic UI, and live captions/transcription in Arabic. We configure language packs and verify Arabic functionality during the pilot phase.

What about call recording for compliance?

Teams supports compliance recording natively (with the right license) and through certified third-party vendors. For SAMA-regulated clients we typically recommend a dedicated compliance recording platform — we deploy and integrate it as part of the engagement.

What does a Teams Phone deployment cost?

Hardware, licensing, and professional services depend on user count and complexity. A typical mid-market deployment (100–300 users with Teams Phone, 4 Teams Rooms, and Direct Routing) is scoped per project. Free initial scoping call available.

Can you support us after deployment?

Yes. We offer ongoing managed support for Teams environments — tier-1/2/3 incident management, change management, monthly health checks, and quarterly governance reviews.
